Obituary: Sarah Taïeb

5th August 2026

Co-founder of the Mobilitas Group Sarah Taïeb has died, the company has announced.

A statement published online said she was ‘a pioneer, a builder and an exceptional woman… whose vision, determination and human values helped build, over the past decades, a remarkable family business success story’.

In 1974, Taïeb and her husband, André Taïeb, set up AGS, which would later become the Mobilitas Group.

‘Driven by an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering determination and an unconditional belief in human potential, she played an essential role in laying the foundations of, and developing, the family business,’ said the company.

‘Far more than an entrepreneur, Sarah Taïeb was a woman of conviction. Her commitment, dedication to a job well done and ability to unite people around a shared vision left a lasting mark on the Group’s history. Those who had the privilege of knowing her remember a strong, yet kindhearted personality, attentive to others and deeply committed to the values of respect, excellence and passing on knowledge to future generations.

‘From the very beginning of the Group’s journey, she instilled a corporate culture founded on trust, loyalty and a family spirit. Her influence remains clearly visible today through the women and men who continue the work she helped create and develop around the world.

‘Her legacy extends far beyond the company. It lives on in the values she passed to succeeding generations, in the inspiration she gave to so many colleagues, and in the example she set as a courageous, visionary and deeply compassionate woman.’

The company said Taïeb’s memory would inspire future generations. ‘Rest in peace, Mrs Sarah Taïeb. Your legacy lives on, and your example will remain forever in our hearts,’ it added.
