Murray and Planavsky take leadership positions

Management appointments made at Hilldrup and Atlas World Group

Jimmy Murray has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hilldrup.

Murray has held a number of leadership roles during his career at the company, including Vice-President and General Manager of Hilldrup’s Orlando operations before he was promoted to Senior Vice-President of Global Sales and Branch Operations.

Most recently he was Executive Vice-President, Finance and Business Operations.

According to the company, Murray’s new expanded role will see him continue to manage Hilldrup’s accounting and finance departments  and the company’s financial decisions. He will also continue to oversee the leadership and direction of Hilldrup’s branch network.

Charles McDaniel, Hilldrup’s President and CEO, said: ‘I am proud to name Jimmy Murray as Hilldrup’s Chief Financial Officer. Over the years, his effective leadership has been built on his financial acumen, strategic sensibilities and sound fiscal judgement, all of which has helped Hilldrup maintain a strong financial posture, positioning us for continued growth and maximising our profitability.’

Meanwhile, Atlas World Group has announced the appointment of Rudy Planavsky to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Champion International, following the death of Ron Smith.

The company said: ‘Rudy is a highly experienced, successful, and well-regarded leader in the international relocation industry. He has been with Champion from inception and has played many key roles in building the organisation into the top-notch company it is today. We are grateful for Rudy to continue the legacy of our late leader, Ron Smith.’

Planavsky is one of the founding team members of Champion, which is 30 years old this year.
