Michael Scott, former Executive Director of FIDI and one of the driving forces behind the FIDI Academy, died on August 24, his family has announced. He was 87.
‘He helped create the original FIDI School in 1978, laying the foundation for a learning institution that has shaped thousands of professionals in the international moving and relocation industry, and one of the pillars of the FIDI community,’ said a FIDI statement.
Paying tribute, FIDI Secretary General Jesse van Sas said: ‘Michael’s leadership and passion helped transform the FIDI Academy. He passed the training baton on to a pool of FIDI Academy Trainers; we all owe him for the legacy he left.’
