IAM’s Vice President of Government and Military Affairs says that military movers are facing challenges to cope with the number of moves scheduled, following the Department of Defense (DoD) announcement last month that it was cancelling its contract with HomeSafe Alliance.
In an interview with The Air Force Times, Dan Bradley said that IAM supported the DoD’s action on the Global Household Goods Contract (GHC), but said movers were working against the clock to handle the volume of moves outstanding.
‘Our members are working feverishly to cover as many shipments as they can under the current constraints,’ said Bradley.
According to IAM, HomeSafe Alliance cancelled its IAM membership as of June 23, 2025.
