P EOPLE M OVE S Nilsen takes CEO job at Santa Fe Santa Fe Relocation has appointed Runar Nilsen as its new CEO. He replaces Yann Blandy, who has been in the position for three years. In a statement released to its partners, the company said Nilsen (pictured) assumed the role from January 16, 2023. He has been deputy CEO since 2019 and has co-led our transformation together with Yann Blandy. Blandy will remain at Santa Fe in a more focused role as Executive Chairman of the Board. As part of the changes, James Gooding, Santa Fes current Managing Director for North Asia, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MOVE and joins the companys global leadership team. Gooding will continue as North Asia lead, overseeing agent and partner relations globally, MOVE operations in the US, and ESG. Julia Palmer has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and will continue to serve as the companys COO of RELO. Nick Malcomson takes over legal and compliance, as well as vendor Jennifer Murr has been promoted to Vice President, Gulf Coast Region, at Aires. Most recently serving in the company as Gulf Coast Region General Manager, she will continue to oversee regional operations, sales, and profitability, while expanding her role on the executive leadership team. Murr joined Aires in 1997 and has held many different transferee and client-facing roles and won the Bronze Stevie Award for Woman of the Year Business Services at the 10th annual Stevie Awards. Van der Geest joins Atlas management and procurement; this is in addition to his existing CFO responsibilities. Olivier Jourdan will head up customer experience (CX), including implementation, in addition to his CCO responsibilities. Helmkamp steps down at Cartus Katrina L Helmkamp, President and CEO of Cartus Relocation, has announced she is retiring from the business at the end of the year. In a letter to Cartus partners, she said that Eric Barnes, the companys current Chief Financial Officer and SVP of supply chain management, will become interim President and CEO from January 2023. Barnes has been with the company for more than 20 years in financial and operational leadership roles and, according to Helmkamp, has been central to our strategy that is succeeding in the marketplace. Charles van der Geest has joined Atlas as Account Manager. He has more than 22 years experience in the moving industry, mainly in account management and business development roles. He has completed FIDIs EiM and MiM training. Rajesh promoted at Arpin Arpin International Group has announced the promotion of Tulie Rajesh from Senior International Move Coordinator to Head of Operations of its strategic service centre in India. She will be responsible for daily operations, account management, supplier partner relationships, and manage the regional customer service team assigned to provide topquality service to Arpins customers. Asian Tigers appointments Tim Kutt has joined Asian Tigers Taiwan as Sales and Move Consultant. He previously worked at a Hong Kong-based IT company, where he oversaw aspects of the business including development and marketing of web-based software and mobile apps for relocation and immigration providers around the world. He has also worked in the IT department of a global relocation management company in the US. Meanwhile, Asian Tigers Singapores Patrick Goh and Kelvin Yap have both been promoted to Senior General Manager and General Manager respectively in moving services. 83
