OB I T UA RI E S JIM PUTT A ires founder Jim Putt died on March 1, 2022, at his home in Naples, Florida. He was 78 years old. Originally founded as American International Forwarding in 1981, Jim grew the Aires business from an international household goods forwarding company to a leading global mobility firm and headed the business for more than 20 years. The entire organisation mourns his loss and shares thoughts and prayers for his son Bryan and the entire Putt family, said a company announcement. Aires CEO Jeff Wangler said: Jim founded the company with one goal in mind to let people see what they were going to experience in an overseas move. Forty-one years later, his legacy remains not only intact but inspired by leaders who continue to evolve the overall employee experience. Aires President Joleen Lauffer said: Jim was a legend. As a veteran of the US Army, a loyal friend, and a man who truly loved his family, he was an inspired mentor to many. We will always remember his sage counsel in business, his fatherly life-lessons, and most of all, his zest for life and laughter. We will carry his legacy forward, and well continue to tell Jims story... including the many inspirational, often hilarious, and sometimes outrageous stories of his life well lived. EDDY PFEIFER Eddy Pfeifer, owner of HVD Insurance Brokers in Hamburg, has died suddenly aged 68. Thomas Jochum, General Manager for the Euromovers group, a client of HVD, said the company was shocked and saddened by the news. Eddys company was a supplier member of Euromovers and a great friend of the organisation. Eddy impressed us all with his expertise and professionalism and by always providing us with personal and friendly support in all legal and insurance matters. The company will, of course, continue under the expert guidance of Eddys son, Andreas, who has also become a firm friend of Euromovers. On behalf of the group, my sincere condolences to Andreas and to Eddys wife, Olga, who accompanied him to so many business events and conferences. We wish them much strength and Gods blessing. 84 FF306 June-August 22 pp84-85 Obit.indd 84 LOURDES TUFARI LACMA has announced the death of Lourdes Tufari, who was part of the Servimex family for 15 years.
