According to a Wall Street Journal report, only four of the 30 largest airlines in the world reported a profit for Quarter 2: Asiana, China Airlines, EVA and Korean Airlines. All four have apparently benefited from cargo demand for tech components, which grew as remote working boomed, and already had substantial fleets of cargo aircraft. DKV LAUNCHES FERRY PORTAL European mobility service provider DKV Euro Service has launched the DKV Ferry Portal, which, it says, will transform companies access to 1,000 ferry connections throughout Europe. The portal is available in 12 languages, and allows companies to compare prices and sailings, book and pay online pay. SIRVA has revealed its latest innovation, which it says will improve productivity and customer experiences. The company says the app, called MoovScout, aims to standardise and digitise processes during a move, and to give real-time updates on the process. SIRVA Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Ocer Tom Oberdorf said: Since drivers and crews have a great deal to manage when servicing customers during a move, they benefit from an app that is intuitive, streamlines processes, and allows them to focus more fully on the customer. Because customers all have unique needs, it was critical that the design be flexible and adaptable to a myriad of scenarios, and that it oer functionality that covers virtually every aspect of the moving process whether it is an international or domestic move. CARTUS UNVEILS BUILD-YOUR-OWN TECH benchmarking suggests that core/ flex will reduce overall programme costs by 10-20 per cent on average with some seeing savings as high as 60 per cent. The Port of Los Angeles reported its first monthly increase in cargo during August, and its strongest month, as imports grew to a record level. According to logistics website Trans.info, a BAG campaign in 33 areas took place to enforce cabotage laws about the amount of work that drivers can carry out away from their home country. A total of 723 trucks were checked, of which 139 were found to have used cabotage, 46 of them illegally. AGS SOUTH AFRICA SECURES DIRCO CONTRACT AGS South Africa, with the assistance of its worldwide network, has again secured the prestigious South African Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DIRCO) contract, following a brief break.
