O B I T UA RY WILLIAM BILL REINSCH A WILLIAM REINSCH sian Tigers Group has announced the death of Bill Reinsch, who died at the beginning of May after a short battle with cancer. Gordon Bell, Asian Tigers Group Chairman, said: Bill was one of the founding fathers of the Asian Tigers Group, bringing his successful Transpo International companies in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia under the Asian Tigers umbrella. A true visionary, Bill contributed so much to all of our successes through his inspired leadership and persistent determination to succeed. Bill, we will miss you very much. May you rest in peace. One of his children said Bill has been surrounded by the love and warmth of his family these past few precious days here in Jackson Hole. Since his cancer diagnosis in late March, he has, not surprisingly, carried himself with such incredible strength and dignity, tackling each and every day with his usual good humour, wisdom, determination, and complete lack of self-pity. Despite the insurmountable odds, he fought valiantly to the very end not for himself, but for those whom he loved and who loved him, and who will miss him the most. I am sure he would want you to know how lucky and grateful he was to have crossed paths with you. All of you have helped to contribute to his very rich and fulfilling life. Just as you have touched him, I know he has touched many of you, in ways small and large, usually without fanfare or need for recognition. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy of integrity, compassion, and contribution. We will miss him dearly, even though we know he is at peace in Heaven. While it is impossible not to feel tremendous sadness for having lost such a special human being, I hope you can take comfort in how blessed we are for the time we had with him. We are all the better for it. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Find international partners and create global growth Advertise in your FIDI Focus magazine.
