P E O P L E M OVES MARSHALL RETURNS AS TIGERS PRESIDENT management positions in the Middle East and North Africa, with two major moving companies based in Dubai. His appointment as President and CEO of Asian Tigers Thailand was set to become official on 1 December, after a transition phase from September to November, during which Marshall worked with his predecessor Keith Meader. Asian Tigers Thailand welcomes Andy back into our company and looks forward to a strong working partnership, said the company spokesperson. Andy Marshall Andy Marshall has rejoined Asian Tigers Thailand as President and Chief Operating Officer of its household goods and relocation services. Marshall began his moving industry career in the UK in 1984, joining Asian Tigers as Thailand household goods sales manager in 1994. After five years, he was appointed as the first executive director of Asian Tigers Group. A spokesperson for the company said: Andy was instrumental in establishing the Asian Tigers brand and identity across each of the markets, and as a respected group within the industry at large. He was key to developing the foundations of several Asian Tigers Group initiatives that have served us well over the years. Marshall moved from the Far East in 2002 and spent the next 16 years in senior regional PAXTON INTERNATIONAL ADDS HICKS TO TEAM Paxton International has added international household goods specialist Wendy Hicks to its government team. Hicks joined Paxton in 2018, and Wendy Hicks has since completed several FIDI training courses. She lived in Egypt for four years, working for the US Embassy in Cairo. Hicks has firsthand experience with international moving and enjoys helping customers understand the move process. TRACEY NEUVILLE JOINS GERSON TEAM Tracey Neuville Tracey Neuville has joined Gerson Relocations UK client services team. She will work with the companys HR and global mobility teams to help manage their international moves and the key challenges relating to employees relocating overseas. Neuville said: I am extremely pleased to join Gerson Relocation. It was their clear vision as a business that attracted me. I feel like the company is doing some really exciting things within the moving and relocation sector. There is also investment and a drive, which I think is important when it comes to delivering an exceptional customer experience. SLUSHER TAKES THE REINS OF SANTA FE PARTNER RELATIONS Industry veteran Doug Slusher has become General Manager, Partner Relations, at Santa Fe. He replaces Yves Therien, who Doug Slusher 82 FF294 DecJan20 pp82-83 People Moves.indd 82 held the position for four years in a long career with the company. Slusher has 25 years experience in the relocations industry, with more than a decade spent at Santa Fe, including in client-facing roles. He was previously general manager of Santa Fes Indonesia business, where, the company says, he established a strong relationship with many clients and [drove] the delivery of high-quality services in a very dynamic market. He will remain based in Indonesia. Group CEO Yann Blandy said: As part of our commitment to increase the strategic importance of this role, Doug will have the benefit of being supported by Santa Fe Global Supply Chain, led by James Thom, as well as by colleagues in finance and in markets around the world. Further, we are now running our partner financial support, including global netting, in Europe and this will be overseen by Nick Malcolmson, CFO for Europe Thanking Therien for his work in maintaining strong partner relationships throughout a period of great change at Santa Fe, Blandy added: We receive many positive comments on Yves contribution from our partners. We also know that Doug is well known throughout the industry, and has the drive and expertise to further develop our relationships across the globe as we grow our consumer business and continue to support our corporate clients in all our global markets.
