We had an intense programme of events and here we give you a quick overview of how our FIDI 39 Club activities went. PLASTIC FISHING ISABELLE HARSCH, FIDI 39 CLUB BOARD MEMBER e W W W. F I D I. O R G FF291JunJul19 pp50-53 39 Club.indd 51 We have to admit, there was not a lot of sport... it was more about eco-friendly action: we cleared some of Amsterdams canals of plastic and other rubbish. We were very lucky, because the weather was great and the groups were fun. And some of us found some pretty intriguing things floating in the water! PARTIES ON SATURDAY This year, we did not organise one party, but two! A warm-up was organised at House of Bols, where we learned how to make cocktails with the local specialty, genever, before the main event took place at Club Jimmy Woo in the centre of Amsterdam. As it was on a Saturday, it was very busy and had a good vibe. This year saw the highest turnout of attendance to the party,which is open to all Affiliates, not just the 39 Club members - adding to the local vibe. We felt it was a good idea to stage the party on Saturday, and we might do it again in Osaka, Japan, in 2020, but wed love to hear your feedback on that idea. 51 10/05/2019 17:09
