42 AM FIDI C O N F E RE N C E CELEBRATING FIDIS CONFERENCE 2019 The FIDI Conference 2019 got off to a great start in Amsterdam, with a spot of beatboxing to kick off events. Alongside the usual golf tournament and city tours there was also the achievement of those who took part in the FIDI Cycle Challenge to celebrate B eatboxer and DJ Jarno Ibarra jolted the FIDI Conference to life during roll call, with a demonstration of live looping, capturing the sounds of the audience clapping and singing, and manipulating the sample to create a new dance track on his loopstation. Outgoing FIDI President Freddy Paxton then rode onto the stage on a Dutch bicycle, bearing a bouquet of tulips, which he later handed over to new FIDI President Ebru Demirel to signify the transition of leadership. A WARM WELCOME Outgoing FIDI President Freddy Paxton introduced FIDIs top students of 2018, who were warmly welcomed to the stage.
