IN D U ST RY N EW S BGRS IS SET TO BE ACQUIRED BY RELO GROUP Relo Group, Inc. and BGRS have announced that an affiliate of Relo Group will acquire BGRS from Brookfield Business Partners. BGRS offers talent mobility and advisory services to Global Fortune 500 companies. Supported by a team of more than 1,300 globally, BGRS manages more than 60,000 employee relocations annually, with locations throughout Asia, the Americas and EMEA. In a statement, the Relo Group said BGRS CEO Traci Morris and the management team will remain in place and work with Relo Group to advance the company into its next phase. BGRS has developed into a world-class talent mobility management firm by always putting the interests of our clients first, constantly innovating and searching for new opportunities to create value for all stakeholders, and implementing sustainable operating practices. We are excited to become part of Relo Groups portfolio of companies to continue to build BGRS, said Morris. Relo Group, based in Tokyo, Japan, has more than 30 years experience of offering relocation services to support the global expansion of Japanese companies. It also offers comprehensive fringe-benefit programmes, ranging from housing to leisure and lifestyle improvement. BGRS is the fourth investment in North America for Relo Group and will expand its global network and service offerings. FINK MOBILITY RECOGNISED FOR CONTINUOUS PARTICIPATION IN LACMA The Latin America and Caribbean Movers Association (LACMA) has celebrated its 50th birthday. LACMAs milestone anniversary was reached in February and the organisation celebrated in Panama. As part of the celebrations, Laura Ganon, the late Paul Richard Klien, and Thomas Klien of FINK Mobility which has played an important role in its development and direction were each given an award for their dedication. LACMA was born when, back in 1968, a group of 14 Latin American businessmen decided to create an association of Latin American and Caribbean moving companies with the understanding that, together, each of the Latin countries would be stronger. The idea was to create an organisation that would meet regularly and exchange ideas and represent the common interest of the region. Then, in 2011, Laura Ganon, current FINK Mobility CEO, was the first woman to be elected to the office. The LACMA awards Leadership changes at SIRVA SIRVA, Inc., a global relocation services provider, has announced major changes to its leadership team across two regions. Michael McMahon, formerly President, Moving Services North America, has been promoted to President, Global Relocation Services a new position while Rene Gibson, formerly Vice President of Human Resources, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resources. At the same time, the company announced that John Dupuy, Senior Vice President, Corporate Initiatives, and Todd Schorr, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, have resigned to pursue other interests. SIRVA also said that its Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific moving services operations, which had previously reported to Dupuy, would now report to Kevin Pickford, SIRVAs President and Managing Director, Europe.
